The Never Ending Crime Story
The Yogurt Shop Murders rocked my world when I was young but not in a good way. Perhaps it was because it was close to home – Amy Ayers lived behind my street and we both went to St. Louis, though I didn’t know her personally.
It’s been over 15 years since the murders and the case is still cold. First they blamed two Mexicans, then the Goths, and now the focus is still on Robert Springsteen and Michael Scott. Interestingly, recent DNA uncovered from the crime scene was tested and does not match Springsteen or Scott.
I’m not sure what to believe. It’s pretty blatant that Springsteen and Scott were coerced into confessing and I certainly don’t believe they murdered these girls. Several years ago I researched this case and came across a site claiming the murders were part of an insurance scheme called ‘Insurance Reserve Fraud’. Immediately after reading it I got an eerie feeling – everything about this case fits this scheme.
Cut to a month ago and you have the piece by The Austin Chronicle which lead me to this blog post.
Busted In Austin
A magazine featuring the names, charges, and mugshots of people ‘Busted In Austin‘ (including Williamson County).
Pimp
I saw this commercial last night. I admit, I don’t know much about Farouk Shami but after watching a few videos on his website, I am officially fascinated.
Check out his new commercial below. He walks in like a pimp and announces his new manufacturing center that will bring over 1000 new jobs to Texas.
Here’s another inspiring video. My favorite part is around 7:26 ~ a la Edward Scissorhands.
Wack But Real

This is the craziest thing I’ve seen in a long time. I heard somewhere that people who spend the majority of their day sitting don’t live as long as people who are on their feet.
